Night Before- September 6th

Tomorrow is the first day of school!

I'm really excited, I have at least 1 friend in about half of my classes, and i have lunch with at least one friend. I finally have all of my school supplies, i will be bringing my 2inch binder, my planner, pencil case, several pencils and pens, highlighters, i have paper and dividers in my binder. I also picked out my outfit for tomorrow, and white tank top with a v-neck green shirt on top, with tan capri's. My bus comes at 6:51, so I will be getting up at 5:45. School starts at 7:25 and ends at 2:30.

I really can't wait, because tomorrow is also my first Irish Dance class of the year (which are an hour and a half long) and it will be good to see my ID friends again.

I'll make a post tomorrow about my day, so expect a really long post!

Good luck to everyone who is starting school tomorrow!

Schedule-August 30

So I finally got my schedule last week:

1-Health
2-Honors Biology
3-Honors Writing/World Lit.
4-Honors Geometry
5-Ceramics
6-Spanish 200
7-World History

Every school does schedules differently. We have 'even' and 'odd' days. So my schedule would look like this:

ODD
1-Health
3-Honors Writing/World Lit.
Lunch
5-Ceramics
7-World History

EVEN
2-Biology
Seminar (it's like study hall)
Lunch
4-Honors Geometry
6-Spanish 200

The classes are 90 or 95 minutes each, and passing time is 10 minutes, and lunch is 25 minutes.
I also got a lot of school supplies yesterday. A 2 inch binder for school, a planner, lunchbox, thermos, two 1.5 inch binders to keep at home. Whenever we finish a unit in school, I'll bring home the papers, and put them in the binder so I can study them when mid-term times come along.
It's also the last week of summer vacation!

Registration!

Sorry I haven't posted anything in a while, I have been busy!
This post is about registration for high school. For us, it means we go to our school, we get our schedule, lockers, get our planners, etc. For me, this is tomorrow, and if your school does something like this, there are a few things you should know:

1. This is also the day you turn in paperwork, like release forms, emergency paperwork, and so on. Make sure have ALL the paperwork, with all the information and signatures.
2. Try to go with some friends, you can compare schedules and see who you have in your classes.
3. They will also give you a lot of important papers, like supply lists and maps of the school

Sorry for the short post, I'll post again in a few days about my schedule! Thanks for reading!

First Post-August 1st

Hi! My names Victoria, and this fall I'll be a freshman in high school. I was looking for tips about high school on the Internet, and didn't find much, so I thought it would be a good idea to create a blog about my life in high school. Instead of just giving freshman a bunch of tips, I'll be writing about what actually happens in high school.

It's August, which means it's almost that time again, especially for schools that start before labor day. My high school starts after labor day on on September 7th.

I suppose I should tell you a little a bit about myself and my school. As you already know, I'll be a freshman this fall. I consider myself a nerd, I think that it is very important to get good grades, and nothing bothers me more when I get what I consider to be a 'bad grade'(B+ or lower). I don't do any extra-curricular activities with the school, but I am an Irish Dancer and I will be taking classes twice a week this year.

Our achool district has 4 elementary schools, 3 middle schools and 2 high schools, but by the time I'm a senior, our high schools will be combined because enrollment is down.

This is my first time writing a blog, so I'm making this up as a go along! I'll post once a week or so until the school starts and then I'll post a more often.

Thats all for now, thanks for reading!
